Schedule

Shifts include Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) and Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) with rotating schedules. Weekend coverage is expected.

Job Description

The Med/Surg Tele RN will provide essential nursing care for patients in a telemetry unit at a high-acuity healthcare facility. The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of patient care and effective communication with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Perform assessments and document patient progress.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain telemetry monitoring and respond to alarms.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and health management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required.
• Must possess a valid, permanent Ohio nursing license or a compact state license.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required.
• ECG rhythm recognition competence and safeMedicate proficiency required.
