Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide holistic, individualized care to patients in the OB unit. Demonstrating clinical competency, nursing judgment, and teaching skills, the RN will be committed to improving the quality of patient care and will perform general and unit-specific clinical skills independently.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care under the supervision of the charge nurse.
• Manage supplies and equipment efficiently.
• Promote teamwork with physicians and personnel across the unit and other hospital departments.
• Adhere to hospital policies regarding confidentiality, sexual harassment, advance directives, and ADA.
• Implement and evaluate age-appropriate care for all patients, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gyn patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of one year of acute care experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Certificate, and STABLE certification.
• Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
• Computer skills required.
