Medical Surgical Nurse

Job Description

This is a 13-week contract position for a Medical Surgical Nurse on a night shift. The role involves preparing, administering, and recording prescribed medications, as well as changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs. Nurses will be responsible for adjusting specialized medical equipment as needed, interpreting and recording measurements, and monitoring patients' vitals while reporting any adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner.

Schedule

This position requires a commitment to 12-hour night shifts, with a guaranteed 36 hours of work per week. Additionally, the schedule includes 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• At least 1 year of Medical Surgical experience - REQUIRED
• Recent travel nursing experience - PREFERRED
• Current skills checklist relevant to the specialty
• 2 Supervisory Reference Forms, taken within the last two years
• Oklahoma State License or compact BLS - AHA, NIH certifications required
