Monday through Friday, 0645-1515, with call responsibilities every 3rd day and at least 1 to 2 weekends per month.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be expected to assist in the General Operating Room when there are no CVOR cases. This role requires clinical expertise and is subject to clinical pre-screening to ensure fit within Wellspan's guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cardiovascular surgeries, including but not limited to Atrial Septal Defect Repair, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), Mitral Valve Replacement, and Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR).
• Care for COVID patients as needed.
• Participate in call rotations and weekend duties as assigned.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including fire safety and infection control.
• Perform specimen handling and labeling according to universal protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a cardiovascular operating room setting.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is heavily preferred.
• NBSTSA certification is required for operational roles.
• Ability to comply with a tobacco and fragrance-free policy at the facility.
