Registered Nurse - Night Shift (3x12 Hours)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to embrace the Select Medical Way and the core values of our organization. This position involves providing nursing assessments, creating individual care plans, educating patients and families, and ensuring effective communication among all levels of care.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission and develop individualized care plans.
• Identify teaching needs and collaborate with patients and families to set goals related to their diagnosis.
• Document all assessments and interventions accurately and timely in the medical record.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation and ensure a comprehensive understanding of patient care through the nursing process.
• Initiate discharge planning upon admission and provide patient education related to their discharge needs.
• Communicate changes in patient status effectively to ensure continuity of care and promote patient safety.
• Supervise and provide direction to ancillary nursing personnel, enhancing team performance through effective leadership.
• Assure personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital policies.
• Contribute positively to unit functions, supporting a collaborative and efficient work environment.
• Identify and pursue opportunities for professional growth through continuous education and self-study.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS Certification required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
• ICU/Critical Care experience is preferred.

Schedule

This position involves working 3 twelve-hour night shifts weekly, with every other weekend required.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
