PM Shift: 13:00 – 21:30 (5 × 8 hr shifts, 40 hrs/week)

Job Description

The MRI Technologist performs MRI studies in accordance with protocols established by Radiologists. They are responsible for operating the MRI scanner to produce high-quality images and preparing the scan room and equipment as necessary. The technologist ensures patient comfort and safety by properly positioning them and maintaining communication throughout the scanning procedure.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI studies following established protocols.
• Operate MRI scanner to produce images of consistent optimal quality.
• Prepare scan room and equipment for procedures.
• Position patients and equipment as required.
• Maintain communication with patients during the scanning process.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
• Non-Degree Program from an approved AMA Radiologic Technology program or MRI certificate program Required
• 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist Required
• 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist Preferred
• American Registry of Radiologists (ARRT) MR certification required within 2 years from date of hire
• Reg Technologist (R) Required
• Basic Life Support Preferred
• Reg Technologist (R) (MR) Preferred
