8-hour evening shift, 3 PM to 11:30 PM.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical Lab Technologist or Medical Lab Scientist with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty. The ideal candidate will have experience with Sysmex and CellaVision systems and should be familiar with working in a large hospital laboratory setting. Our facility handles a high volume of complex samples daily, including turbid specimens, platelet clumps, and abnormal cell findings, necessitating proficiency in managing these challenges.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests and analyses on various samples.
• Accurately perform differentials, particularly in a busy neonatal unit setting.
• Handle complex samples, including those presenting unique challenges.
• Work efficiently in a high-volume lab environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a laboratory specialty.
• Current ASCP, AMT, or AAB certification required.
• Experience in large hospital laboratories (600+ beds) is preferred.
• Demonstrated competence in using Sysmex and CellaVision systems.
