Schedule

Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 06:30 AM to 07:00 PM. Weekends required, generally every other weekend.

Job Description

The registered respiratory therapist (RRT) will provide critical care for pediatric patients in the PICU and NICU. This role requires proficiency in managing respiratory therapy for neonates, infants, and children, including advanced procedures and crisis management.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapies to patients in PICU/NICU.
• Assist with intubation and extubation procedures.
• Manage mechanical ventilation and weaning protocols.
• Perform tracheostomy care and management.
• Utilize various respiratory equipment including BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula.
• Conduct sputum specimen collection and maintain health care standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of PICU/NICU experience preferred.
• Current BLS, PALS, NRP certifications.
• Valid RRT certification and state license (compact license acceptable).
