Job Description

Assists in the delivery of quality healthcare by exercising sound nursing judgment in accordance with recognized healthcare techniques, procedures, established standards, and administrative policies. Actively participates as a member of the healthcare team to engage patients, families, and caregivers in the coordination of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care and treatment, including examination, diagnostic and treatment procedures, and medication administration.
• Educate patients and families regarding health information and care plans.
• Assist in emergency situations with calm and effective reactions.
• Utilize various types of equipment for examination and treatment procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
• One year of nursing experience preferred.
• Must have a Pennsylvania Practical Nurse License.
• Must meet the American Heart Association's standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renew BLS every two years.
