Evening Nurse Position - Rural Setting
Location
Located in a rural area, 2 hours from Boston, MA.
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Evenings, 8 hours from 3 PM to 11 PM. Must be willing to float to various units based on experience.
Job Description
The Nurse will be responsible for the continuous observation of residents, alerting supervisors to changes in their mental and physical well-being. Responsibilities include administering medications, supervising nursing staff, and ensuring compliance with documentation and treatment protocols. The role requires effective communication with families and medical personnel, as well as managing various administrative tasks related to patient care.
Responsibilities
- Observe resident health status and report changes to supervisors.
- Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation.
- Supervise Licensed Nursing Assistants and assign patient care duties.
- Assist with medical rounds and communication with medical staff.
- Perform wound care and maintain infection control practices.
- Manage admissions, discharges, and transfers of residents.
- Maintain communication regarding residents' status with nursing management.
- Complete required administrative reports and attend meetings as necessary.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- 3+ years of current nursing experience required.
- IV certification required (must be willing to obtain during onboarding if not certified).
- Active nursing license for New Hampshire required.
- COVID-19 vaccination required; no declinations or exemptions accepted.
- Experience in a rural or small facility preferred.
- Previous travel experience preferred.
