Cardiac Sonographer II

This is a 13-week contract position.

5 days per week, approximately 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM.

Job Description

The Cardiac Sonographer II performs moderate-complexity echocardiographic exams independently and is expected to recognize abnormal findings and exercise sound clinical judgment in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms.
• Start IVs and administer Definity contrast as needed.
• Complete prereads on all echocardiographic studies.
• Maintain adherence to established protocols, documentation standards, and quality expectations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited School of Sonography or equivalent experience.
• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac sonography (required).
• BLS certification (required).
• Minimum of 5 years of cardiac ultrasound experience.
• Familiarity with Philips EPIQ ultrasound systems and Epic EMR preferred.
