PCU Registered Nurse - Night Shift

12-hour night shifts, with weekend requirements of usually every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated PCU Registered Nurse to join our team on the night shift. The ideal candidate will have experience managing acute care patients, particularly those with cardiac conditions requiring close monitoring and specialized care.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients with acute coronary syndrome, cardiac diagnoses, and those requiring closely monitored treatment.
• Administer medications including insulin and cardiac drips, and start IVs as necessary.
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions consistently, including those on Bipap/CPAP.
• Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a progressive care or telemetry nursing specialty.
• Active New York nursing license must be on file prior to starting.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• NIHSS certification is required prior to starting.
• Epic documentation system experience from within the past 2 years is mandatory.
