ICU Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Job Description

The ICU Registered Nurse will be responsible for managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure, chronic or acute renal failure, and providing comprehensive care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients in the ICU.
• Administer medications and manage IVs, including starting and maintaining IVs and managing arterial lines.
• Conduct EKGs and interpret dysrhythmias.
• Provide post-operative care and management for patients post-craniotomy or other major surgeries.
• Care for ventilated patients and assist with respiratory management techniques like BiPAP and CPAP.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.
• Implement isolation precautions and infection prevention measures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required; first-time travelers will be considered.
• Active RN license in Maryland or Compact state.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required; TNCC preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
