Job Description

The Registered Nurse will assess patients' conditions and nursing needs while coordinating with other health disciplines to ensure effective treatment plans are implemented. This includes developing individualized care plans that encompass teaching needs and discharge planning.

Responsibilities

• Administer direct care utilizing professional nursing skills and judgment.
• Administer medication as prescribed.
• Practice infection control and maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Communicate changes in patients' conditions and address questions regarding patient care to the Charge RN/Clinician.
• Develop and maintain a current written plan of care, setting priorities and goals in collaboration with patients and their families.
• Document evidence of patient/family teaching and their understanding.
• Work effectively with other staff and departments.
• Participate in quality assurance activities or committees aimed at advancing the nursing profession.
• Assist with breast cancer biopsies and related patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of nursing experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
