Medical-Surgical Float Pool Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12-hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:30), 36 hours per week. Weekend coverage required every other weekend. Holiday rotation required.

Job Description

The role involves floating to medical-surgical floors at the main hospital and associated tower. Ratios may vary depending on the assigned unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult patients on medical-surgical units.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and daily patient care activities.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to respond to patient needs and coordinate care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in a medical-surgical setting.
• Registered Nurse license valid in South Carolina or a multi-state/compact state license.
• BLS certification required.
