• Sunday–Thursday: 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM
• Friday & Saturday: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Job Description

Under general supervision, specializes in the performance of computerized tomographic radiological procedures on patients. May perform general diagnostic radiology examinations and related duties.

Responsibilities

• Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for the examination.
• Review clinical data on requisition and perform appropriate examinations, obtaining additional information about the patient’s medical history as necessary.
• Prepare the procedure room and replenish stock such as linen and related supplies regularly.
• Analyze anatomical structures, set up equipment, and perform the CT scan.
• Manually control the equipment to obtain the proper diagnostic information.
• Administer intravenous contrast media and monitor patients for possible reactions, providing immediate care if necessary.
• Prepare and set up sterile equipment and supplies required for procedures, ensuring adequate supplies are on hand.
• Assist Radiologist in performing complex sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies.
• Perform all imaging procedures demonstrating principles of radiation protection.
• Resolve image exceptions and ensure high-quality image delivery into PACS and RIS.
• Document all necessary information in the medical records and radiology information system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• ARRT (CT) certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of CT experience required.
• Experience with GE and Phillips equipment preferred.
