Neuro RN - Night Shift 12x3 Contract Position

Job Description

The Neuro RN is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients in a neuro stepdown unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong neuro stepdown experience or significant med/surg experience, along with required certifications. The RN will be expected to work closely with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a neuro stepdown setting.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and report changes as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a neuro stepdown setting or strong med/surg background.
• Current NIHSS certification included in the CV packet.
• ACLS certification required.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records.
• Active RN license verification through Nursys.
