Job Description

The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse is accountable for providing care to patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The RN demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care. This role includes maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education, delegating patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available, and providing direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Nursing Process to provide patient care.
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment.
• Plan for safe delivery of care and maintain clinical competencies.
• Delegate patient care priorities effectively.
• Supervise assigned personnel in delivering patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two to five years of nursing experience required.
• Must have ACLS & BLS certifications (issued through the American Heart Association).
• Must have a valid Missouri RN or multi-state RN license.
