Job Description

The Labor & Delivery unit is a high-risk obstetrics environment featuring 15 labor beds, 9 antepartum beds, and 3 OR suites. The registered nurse will be responsible for providing exceptional care to mothers and newborns, often requiring experience in high-risk cases.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to pregnant women and newborns in a high-risk setting.
• Monitor patients throughout labor and delivery processes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families.
• May be required to float to other maternal units, including postpartum and NICU, based on organizational needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of nursing experience in Labor & Delivery within a high-risk hospital setting.
• NV State RN license prior to start.
• Required certifications: NRP, BLS, ACLS; STABLE certification is preferred.
