Pediatric MRI Technologist

Job Description

We are seeking an MRI Technologist to join our pediatric imaging team. In this role, you will operate MRI machines and provide high-quality imaging services to patients ranging from neonates to age 18. Your ability to make patients feel comfortable and coordinate with physicians for timely results will be essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to ensure comfort.
• Document all procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Adhere to all MRI safety policies and guidelines.
• Adjust scanning parameters to accommodate various patient ages.
• Identify contraindications for safe scanning and stop scans when necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two (2) years of experience as an MRI Technologist.
• Siemens scanner experience.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience.
• 6 months of pediatric experience required.
• ARRT certification and NYS Radiologic Tech License (or willingness to obtain prior to start).

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 1:30 PM - 10 PM EST, with holidays based on unit needs. No on-call required.
