7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, full-time with rotating weekends and holidays required.

Job Description

The Charge Nurse in Women’s Services will be responsible for providing exceptional care in a high-acuity unit. Candidates must have prior charge experience and labor and delivery expertise, including transitioning care from labor to postpartum for the mother and newborn.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care and provide leadership on the unit.
• Perform advanced nursing skills including fetal monitoring and management of labor and delivery.
• Address obstetric emergencies and perform necessary interventions.
• Perform procedures such as C-sections, circumcisions, and assisted deliveries.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Facilitate daily and safety rounding on all patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have labor and delivery experience.
• Experience with shoulder dystocia, postpartum hemorrhage, and OB emergencies preferred.
• Advanced skills in fetal monitoring and experience with inductions (Pitocin, Cervidil).
• Certifications required: BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring training.
