Registered Nurse - MICU (13-Week Contract)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). This position requires dedicated nursing professionals who can deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care nursing in the MICU, including assessments and patient monitoring.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Perform procedures such as central line placements, thoracentesis, dialysis catheter placements, cardioversions, and intubations.
• Utilize ICU-specific equipment such as ventilators and cardiac output monitors.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of experience in MICU or MSICU.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Active RN license in Texas (temporary licenses are not accepted).
• CCRN certification preferred.
