Inpatient Physical Therapist (Spanish Speaking Preferred)

Job Description

The Inpatient Physical Therapist will work in a general hospital outpatient setting, focusing on providing rehabilitation for a variety of conditions including post-operative care for total knee and total hip arthroplasties, spinal surgeries, and more. The ideal candidate will have experience with neurological disorders and general deconditioning challenges.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement physical therapy interventions including manual therapy, gait training, and aquatic therapy.
• Educate patients and families on rehabilitation techniques and home exercise programs.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and progress notes in the electronic charting system.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a relevant clinical setting.
• Current BLS certification.
• Valid California PT license required.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is preferred.
• Manual therapy skills are a plus.
