Schedule / Shift

12-hour rotating shifts (Day/Night), primarily days with flexibility to rotate to nights. Every other weekend required. Typically, one week of nights followed by a week of days, with possible mid-week rotations.

Job Description

The Vascular Access Team RN is responsible for providing high-quality care in the placement and management of vascular access devices. The RN will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to assess patient needs and ensure effective interventions.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage vascular access devices including PIVs, PICCs, and ports.
• Perform dressing changes and administer thrombolytic therapy (TPA) as needed.
• Provide clinical support, troubleshooting vascular access devices when necessary.
• Document patient care accurately and timely using Epic EMR.
• Collaborate with other healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS certification required.
• Prior travel experience preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a relevant specialty required.
• Strong IV skills, AVA Certification, and PICC skills are essential.
• Must have Level 1 Trauma experience in the past year.
• Epic experience required within the last 2 years (non-negotiable).
