Night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM.

Job Description

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in critical situations. This role requires a thorough knowledge of nursing principles and the ability to assess and meet patients' diverse needs effectively.

Responsibilities

• Identify and intervene in life-threatening situations.
• Provide quality patient care based on established nursing principles.
• Assess patients' clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual needs.
• Recognize safety issues and implement safe patient handling techniques.
• Function well in stressful situations while utilizing creative problem-solving skills.
• Assume charge nurse duties as needed.
• Complete lethal dysrhythmia exam successfully during probation and achieve defibrillation certification within six months.
• Obtain IV, medication, and phlebotomy certification during orientation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New York State RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• PALS certification required or to be obtained within six months of hire/transfer.
• MEDITECH experience is mandatory.
• Previous travel nursing experience is required.
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Critical care and charge experience preferred.

Location

Position available within a 100-mile radius limitation.
