Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with rotating weekend duties.

Job Description

The CVICU Registered Nurse will deliver high-quality care to critically ill patients. The nurse will be involved in comprehensive patient assessments, implementation of care plans, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Perform hemodynamic monitoring (Swan-Ganz catheters, arterial lines).
• Manage ventilator settings and patient ventilation.
• Provide post-operative care for patients following CABG and other cardiac procedures.
• Administer medications and treatments as per protocols.
• Maintain accurate and compliant patient documentation utilizing Meditech.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of critical care nursing experience.
• Current Texas RN license (no temporary licenses accepted).
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Experience with IABP and CRRT is preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills.
