Schedule

3-12 hour shifts per week with every other weekend and holiday requirements.

Job Description

As a Medical Surgical Telemetry Nurse, you will work in a medical acute and sub-acute unit providing care to patients with chronic diseases, acute infections, and other related conditions. You will be responsible for monitoring patients with telemetry and guiding them through their recovery process.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for a patient population ranging in age from 17-104
• Perform telemetry interpretation and manage IV therapy
• Conduct EKGs and administer respiratory treatments
• Work collaboratively with a team that includes advanced practice professionals
• Ensure compliance with unit specific procedures and protocols

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in Medical Surgical Telemetry
• Current NY state nursing license or proof of application
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required prior to start
• Prior travel experience and charge nurse experience preferred
• EPIC experience required within the last 2 years
