Schedule

12-hour day shifts, 8 AM to 4:30 PM, with weekend and holiday requirements: 4 weekend shifts per 4 weeks.

Job Description

The Special Care Nursery (SCN) is a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit providing care to neonates with medical and/or surgical problems. Admissions to the SCN involve infants born at the facility. Requests for admissions and direct transfers from other hospitals will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and may result in an admission to the SCN.

Responsibilities

As a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse in the Special Care Nursery, you will be expected to provide high-quality care for critically ill neonates, monitor their conditions using advanced medical equipment, and collaborate with neonatologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit or Special Care Nursery.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required.
