Day shift, 4x10 hours (06:00 - 19:30) Monday through Friday, totaling 40 hours per week.

Job Description

The Radiation Oncology Therapist will simulate and administer radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist and directed by the Radiation Physicist and Dosimetrist. This role involves interpreting treatment plans, maintaining patient safety and observation, and documenting treatment processes thoroughly.

Responsibilities

• Simulate and administer radiation treatments to patients based on prescribed treatment plans.
• Maintain audio and visual surveillance of patients during treatment.
• Position patients accurately for treatment and perform image acquisition as directed.
• Observe and report any side effects or changes in patient behavior to the medical team.
• Document treatment position and conditions accurately using digital tools.
• Coordinate simulation with clinic to support continuity of care.
• Participate in daily chart rounds to ensure effective patient care.
• Complete necessary maintenance and checks of treatment equipment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of one year of Radiation Therapy experience.
• ARRT certification and Oregon Board of Medical Imaging state licensure required.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Experience with Varian TrueBeam or Edge, Aria systems preferred.
• Successful completion of a Radiation Therapy program.
