Travel Med Surg RN

Location

This position is located in a facility with a 352-bed capacity.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shifts available are from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, including every other weekend and holiday.

Job Description

The Travel Med Surg RN will be responsible for the general medical administration of medications and care, along with remote telemonitoring of patients with the oversight of monitor technicians. The RN will provide post-operative care and support to patients in various departments as needed, including Medical-Surgical Telemetry with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6, which may rise to a maximum of 1:7 under a surge plan.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and provide patient care in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform telemonitoring duties and coordinate with the monitoring team.
• Engage in post-operative care for surgical patients.
• Float to MS Tele as required, utilizing skills in telemetry monitoring.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1-2+ years of Med Surg experience preferred.
• 1+ year of recent travel experience required.
• Current BLS certification is mandatory.
• Experience with telemetry is essential.
• Cerner experience is required.
