Job Description

The PCU/Telemetry Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. This role involves demonstrating critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning for safe delivery of care. The Registered Nurse maintains clinical competencies through continuing education, delegates patient care priorities based on the capabilities of available staff, and provides direction and supervision to personnel delivering patient care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care in compliance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Utilize critical thinking and scientific judgment in patient care planning.
• Demonstrate leadership in ensuring safe delivery of care.
• Delegate patient care tasks appropriately based on staff education and experience.
• Supervise and provide direction to assigned personnel in patient care activities.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• ACLS Certification
• BLS Certification
• PALS Certification
• Experience in PCU/Telemetry nursing preferred
• Valid state nursing license
