Surgical Technologist - Labor & Delivery

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

NOC 3 × 11.5 hr shifts, 35 hrs/week. Shifts are from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with a 60-minute unpaid lunch break. Alternate weekends required.

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Surgical Technologists to join our team in the Labor & Delivery department. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care in various settings including L&D, High Risk Antepartum, Induction of Labor, Triage, and PACU. You will play a vital role in assisting with both routine and complex cases, ensuring comprehensive support to the nursing staff and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Assist with surgical procedures and patient care in labor and delivery settings.
• Provide 1:1 care during active labor and manage high-risk antepartum patients.
• Support nursing staff in triage and post-anesthesia care units (PACU).
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols at all times.
• Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery settings.
• Previous travel experience is preferred.
• Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NRP, EFM certification required.
