4x10-hour shifts (7:30 AM - 6:00 PM) with On Call once a month, including weekends.

Job Description

The role involves the delivery of nursing practices according to the most up-to-date evidence-based research, nursing policies, and standards of care, ensuring the safe and excellent delivery of individualized patient care.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues, and other members of the healthcare team regarding patient status, rendered care, and treatment plans.
• Medication administration utilizing the latest advancements in bar-scanning and documentation technologies for safe delivery of medications.
• Point-of-care electronic documentation of each patient’s assessments, plan-of-care, interventions, and evaluation of care rendered.
• Patient and family-centered education focusing on health optimization, wellness, and disease management.
• Multi-disciplinary discharge planning to ensure safe transitioning and continuum of care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2-3 years of Interventional Radiology experience
• Acute care experience, including titration of drips and managing patients on ventilators; conscious sedation required.
• Six (6) months of relevant nursing experience is required.
• Required Certifications: BLS - AHA, NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license, ACLS, PALS.
