Job Description

The Physical Therapist in Sports Medicine will assess and treat neuromusculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory systems through physical or mechanical means. This role aims to maintain or restore function impaired by injury or disease, focusing on pain management and promoting overall mobility and health as prescribed by the referring physician. The Physical Therapist is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the plan of care for each patient served, performing and directing the administration of all physical therapy modalities while collaborating with patients, their families, and the interdisciplinary team throughout the treatment process.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients’ neuromusculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
• Administer and direct physical therapy modalities and treatments.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New Mexico Physical Therapist licensure.
• BLS certification required.
• Educational qualifications: Doctorate, Masters, Bachelors, or Associates Degree in Physical Therapy.
• No prior experience required.
