Job Description

The Physical Therapist in Sports Medicine assesses and treats neuromusculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory systems by physical or mechanical means to maintain or restore function that has been impaired by injury or disease. Their work promotes pain management, mobility, and overall health as prescribed by the referring physician. This role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring the plan of care for patients while collaborating with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams throughout the process.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop treatment plans.
• Implement and monitor therapeutic interventions.
• Administer all physical therapy modalities.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure optimal care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New Mexico Physical Therapist licensure.
• BLS certification required.
• Education: Doctorate, Masters, Bachelors, or Associates Degree in Physical Therapy.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
