Job Description

Looking for a dedicated Progressive Care Nurse to join our progressive care unit. The nurse will provide primary nursing care, telemetry monitoring, and manage patients in both the progressive care and step down ICU settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary nursing care to patients in a 15 bed progressive care unit and step down ICU.
• Monitor telemetry and read telemetry strips.
• Conduct fingerstick blood sugar tests.
• Utilize Meditech for charting and Pyxis for medication management.
• Operate BIPAP and perform continuous cardiac monitoring.
• Float to other acute care units as required, including Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and ER.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• At least 1 year of hospital acute care experience within the last year is required.
• Progressive Care and telemetry experience preferred.
• Current Hawaii nursing license is mandatory by the start of the assignment.
• ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications preferred.
