Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

• Sunday–Thursday: 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM
• Friday & Saturday: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekends: Required

Job Description

Under general supervision, the CT Technologist specializes in the performance of computerized tomographic radiological procedures on patients. The role may also include performing general diagnostic radiology examinations and related duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for the examination.
• Review clinical data on requisitions and perform appropriate examinations.
• Prepare procedure room and regularly replenish stock such as linen and related supplies.
• Analyze anatomical structure of the patient, set up equipment, and perform the CT scan.
• Manually control the equipment to obtain proper diagnostic information.
• Administer intravenous contrast media and monitor patients for possible reactions.
• Assist radiologists in performing complex sterile diagnostic procedures.
• Utilize radiation protection techniques during imaging procedures.
• Resolve image exceptions and ensure high-quality image delivery into PACS.
• Complete all study indexing in the Radiology Information System (RIS).
• Document necessary information in medical records and the radiology information system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• ARRT (CT) certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• 2 years of CT experience required.
• Experience with GE and Phillips equipment preferred.
