Nights, 12-hour shifts with a 36-hour guarantee. Must be available for every other weekend.

Job Description

The Cardiovascular Registered Nurse utilizes clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat patient responses to actual or potential health conditions. As a vital member of the Cardiovascular Unit (CVU), you will provide care for over 4000 cardiology patients annually, including those undergoing procedures such as PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip, and bi-ventricular pacemakers. The CVU also specializes in managing the care of patients with congestive heart failure and electrophysiology studies.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Providing high-quality care to cardiovascular patients.
• Assisting in procedures and monitoring patient recovery post-intervention.
• Collaborating with a team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participating in research initiatives, if applicable.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of ICU experience (floating experience not considered).
• EKG experience is required.
• Must be willing to float to similar units such as Neuro, CVICU, and Trauma (preferred).
• Experience with ventilators, CRRT, and balloon pumps is preferred.
• Current Michigan nursing license is required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
