7:00 AM - 5:30 PM with late-night rotation one to two times a week.

Job Description

This position is responsible for caring for patients before, during, and after angiography and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures. This includes pre-procedure assessment, pre-medication, documentation of the catheterization process, post-cath care, and patient education. The nurse will also scrub in for procedures and assist other members of the cardiac catheterization laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing care for catheterization and angiography patients.
• Operates equipment such as cardiac output monitors, hemodynamic devices, pacemakers/ICDs, and intra-aortic balloon pumps.
• Transfers patients, stocks supplies, and performs basic office procedures.
• Scrubs in for procedures with the physician.
• Records all pertinent information on appropriate data sheets.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Cath Lab experience - REQUIRED
• EP experience - PREFERRED
• Travel work experience - PREFERRED
• Epic EMR experience - PREFERRED
• Active Michigan nursing license - REQUIRED
• Active American Heart Association BLS - REQUIRED
• Active American Heart Association ACLS - REQUIRED
