Job Description

The Interventional Radiology Lab provides comprehensive care to both the acute inpatient and elective outpatient populations. The facility includes a Cardiovascular Lab offering 24/7 emergency procedures and is staffed by an interdisciplinary team of specialized physicians, registered clinical nurses, and registered radiology technologists.

Responsibilities

• Perform angiograms of multiple systems
• Conduct peripheral revascularization
• Manage placement and maintenance of hemodialysis catheters
• Insert nephrostomy drainage tubes
• Handle placement and maintenance of gastrostomy and jejunostomy tubes
• Execute central line placements
• Provide vascular access services, including port placement and integrity management
• Deliver pain management interventions such as paracentesis and thoracentesis
• Administer pre and post-care for patients undergoing renal, liver, and lung biopsies
• Assist in carotid stenting procedures

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Previous experience in Interventional Radiology
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Active New York RN license
• Experience with adolescent to geriatric populations
• Familiarity with procedural sedation, circulation, and recovery phase
• Ability to float to Cardiac Cath Lab when required
• Previous travel experience is highly preferred
