4x12-hour shifts, days from 07:00 to 19:00, with weekend requirements every other weekend.

Job Description

The Medical Surgical Telemetry Nurse will provide specialized care for patients post PCI, pacemakers, AICDs, and those recovering from myocardial infarction. This role includes cardiac monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and emergency response as part of a rapid response team.

Responsibilities

• Administer IV therapy and phlebotomy techniques.
• Provide respiratory support using nasal cannulas and other devices.
• Manage isolation precautions and adhere to safety protocols.
• Oversee patient care during complex procedures and manage surgical drains.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including pharmacy, social services, and physical therapy.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• New York state nursing license (must be in hand).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a MedSurg/Telemetry setting.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with Epic charting system is mandatory.
