Physical Therapist - Inpatient/Acute Care

Day shift, 5x8 hours (08:00 - 17:00).

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist for an inpatient/acute care setting in a 450-bed trauma level 3 hospital. The team provides various therapy services across 7 floors with a patient census of approximately 360. The Physical Therapist will work closely with a collaborative team that includes Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy, as well as case management.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy services to patients with orthopedic, neurological, and oncological diagnoses.
• Assess and create individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to optimize patient care.
• Document patient progress and outcomes per hospital protocols.
• Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans and home exercises.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Texas PT license (pending licenses may be accepted).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting is required.
• Experience with Epic EMR is preferred.
