Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) will be responsible for managing patients with complex medical needs, including those on non-titratable drips, and demonstrating knowledge of basic arrhythmias.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients in the PCU.
• Manage medications and intravenous therapies, including non-titratable drips.
• Monitor patient conditions, recognizing and interpreting dysrhythmias.
• Participate in code blue situations and rapid response teams as needed.
• Administer blood products and provide central and peripheral line management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
• Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (must obtain prior to start).
• Epic experience is required; familiarity with cardiac drips is essential.
• All RTO must be included at time of submission; the facility will not review RTO submitted later.
• Negative 10 Panel + Nicotine (Cotinine) drug screen is required.
