Job Description

The MS RN ORTHO position requires a skilled and experienced registered nurse who will provide care in an orthopedic unit. The nurse will handle various patient care responsibilities, manage critical situations, and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Manage a patient ratio of 1:6.
• Administer medications and provide all aspects of patient care in collaboration with healthcare teams.
• Monitor and manage patients with orthopedic conditions and surgical recoveries.
• Perform tracheostomy care, wound care, and other specialized procedures as needed.
• Support patients with colostomy care, feeding tube management, and dialysis management.
• Handle emergencies, including rapid response and code situations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical-Surgical or Telemetry nursing.
• Certifications required: BLS; NIH and ACLS preferred.
• Experience with Epic documentation system required.
• Travel experience is required.
• Preferred experience in Trauma Level II and community hospital settings.
