Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift 3x12.0

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees while embracing the company's core values of superior quality, teamwork, and resourcefulness in overcoming obstacles.

Responsibilities

• Perform a nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission and develop individualized care plans.
• Identify teaching needs and goals related to patient diagnoses through collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Contribute to patient rehabilitation programs, focusing on education and achieving quality outcomes.
• Initiate discharge planning from the first day of admission and provide patient teaching in anticipation of the discharge date.
• Communicate changes in patient status effectively to ensure continuity of care and patient safety.
• Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel while ensuring safety and adherence to policies.
• Participate in team-building activities and maintain positive communication with staff and families.
• Assume charge responsibility upon completion of orientation as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift for CIRH only.
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is required.
• PCU/Critical Care experience is highly desired.

This position offers a day shift schedule with 3x12.0 hours.
