Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

4 10-hour shifts from 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM every 3rd weekend with flexible days, afternoons, and on-call for weekends and midnights.

Job Description

The Radiologic Technologist performs radiologic procedures under the direction of a Radiologist for patient evaluation. This role requires utilizing independent judgment in radiographic techniques, positioning, and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for the examination.
• Review clinical data and obtain additional medical history as necessary.
• Prepare the procedure room and replenish stock such as linens and supplies.
• Analyze anatomical structures, set up equipment, and perform radiologic procedures.
• May select and administer intravenous contrast media and monitor patients for reactions.
• Demonstrate radiation protection principles and follow infection control practices.
• Complete all necessary documentation in medical records and the Radiology Information System.
• Teach and educate new hires and students when needed while maintaining responsibilities.
• Ensure high-quality image delivery into PACS and resolve any image exceptions.
• Demonstrate team member standards of excellence including communication and respect.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must be registered in Radiography with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or registry eligible.
• Healthcare Provider certification required (BCLS).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting, particularly with Level II Trauma.
• OR experience preferred, but training will be provided.
