Pediatric Respiratory Therapist - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: Nights, 19:00 - 07:30, with weekend coverage every other weekend. Float required.

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Pediatric Respiratory Therapists to provide critical care support in various pediatric settings including PEDs floors, PICU, ER, and NICU. The successful candidate will be proficient in using medication systems such as Pyxis and Omnicell and will have experience with EPIC for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer respiratory therapy to pediatric patients.
• Utilize apnea monitors and perform capillary blood gas assessments.
• Administer medications including Albuterol, Atrovent, Flovent, and more.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care.
• Float to other units as needed, based on census and staffing needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• At least 1 year of experience in Pediatric Critical Care or Emergency Room settings.
• Current certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS, and RRT (for South Carolina license).
• Experience with EPIC documentation system is mandatory.
