Job Description

Join a large multidisciplinary team of approximately 40 clinicians in a fast-paced hospital environment. Our team treats a variety of diagnoses with a mixture of orthopedic, neurological, behavioral health, and critical care caseloads. The focus of the position includes treatment of morning ADLs, 1:1 treatment, and facilitating group treatment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality occupational therapy services according to treatment plans for patients.
• Document with web-based software and documentation system (EMR).
• Meet all clinical, departmental, and regulatory expectations, including productivity standards.
• Provide accurate and timely documentation for patient caseload.
• Conduct patient and family education along with hospital staff (physicians and nursing teams).
• Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and communication.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree from an ACOTE accredited school.
• Current state licensure or eligibility in Occupational Therapy in Maryland.
• At least one (1) year of hospital acute care experience.
• Experience running Occupational Therapy groups is a plus.
• Strong documentation skills using an EMR system (preferred hospital-based).
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• Demonstrates strong skills in flexibility, time management, and communication.
• Focuses on patient care and excellent customer service.
