Respiratory Therapist - NICU Experience

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, working 3x12 hours from Thursday to Saturday (18:30 - 07:00).

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist will provide specialized respiratory care for patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) with a focus on pediatrics. This role involves critical care management and requires the ability to work independently as well as part of a team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to neonates, infants, and pediatrics.
• Perform intubation and extubation as required.
• Manage mechanical ventilation and assess respiratory function.
• Execute therapies such as CPAP/BiPAP and high-flow nasal cannula.
• Maintain and operate respiratory equipment in accordance with protocols.
• Document patient care and progress accurately using the EPIC charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in respiratory therapy.
• Experience in Pediatric and NICU settings is a must, with Level 2 NICU experience preferred.
• Valid MD license required.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
