Job Description

The Electrophysiology Technician will perform a variety of tasks within the EP lab, assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to cardiac electrophysiology. Responsibilities include interpretation of dysrhythmias, cardiac mapping, and ablation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and delivery of electrophysiology procedures.
• Interpret dysrhythmias and recognize life-threatening situations.
• Perform cardiac mapping and ablation under guidance.
• Participate in clinical roles including patient assessments and monitoring.
• Maintain a sterile field during procedures.
• Document patient data accurately in the electronic medical record system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the EP lab.
• Preferred certifications: RCVT, ACLS, BLS; RCIS is also preferred.
• Experience with catheterization, interventional radiology, and electrophysiology.
• Ability to float between multiple facilities as needed.
• Must be nicotine-free (smoke-free facility) and provide a negative drug screen.
